Gaining Momentum
Getting through Febuary
First post of the year… It’s been a while.
Hope you’re all blessed and that the year’s started well for you.
Now that January’s behind us and we’re moving into February, make sure you keep the momentum going, or if you’ve already fallen off a bit, just get back on track.
Use your vision board or resolutions as motivation if that helps you.
As for me, I didn’t make a vision board or set any New Year’s resolutions this time around, simply because nothing has really changed from last year. The goals are the same. The life I want is the same.
Grow the coaching business.
Build brand partnerships.
Travel solo
Keep improving as a man
It’s all still there.
And honestly, I didn’t want to fall into the trap of setting big resolutions, building boards, getting hyped for a few days… then letting the motivation fade and doing nothing.
I think a lot of people get so focused on planning and talking about their goals that they trick their mind into feeling accomplished before they’ve even started. They get more excitement from announcing what they want than actually working toward it.
Thinking feels productive. Talking feels productive.
But neither replaces action.
A bit of reflection
With that said, January was decent.
Could I have done more? Definitely.
But momentum was built.
I posted more short-form content than I did in November and December and the plan is to double down even more in February.
Even though I’ve built some good habits this year, I’ve also let a few slip.
Things like listening to interesting podcasts, reading more, running twice a week… even my Spanish is in the mud right now.
“No es bueno.”😂
So this month is about picking those back up.
As the title says, gaining momentum.
Not by reinventing my life, but by tightening up the basics and building on what’s already working.
Because stagnation kills.
The moment I feel stagnant, I feel like I’m regressing. And that’s a horrible feeling.

Let’s make 2026 a strong one.
I guess writing on Substack again will help too.
Even if nobody reads these, it’s still accountability.
Still reflection.
A way for me to monitor progress.
So we’re back to weekly uploads.
And if you’re new here, my name’s Jason. I write about fitness, lifestyle, and personal growth.
Appreciate you tapping in.
If you’re reading this, let me know how your year started and what you’re trying to improve in February. Always good to hear what everyone’s working on.
